The quality of life of a person depends significantly on the ideas they adopt and apply in managing the circumstances of life. Hence best is selection of ideas that are true (have high verisimilitude) hence adoption and application begin with strong platform of well-reasoned thought.

Truth exists when and only when the quality of an idea lies solely in its integrity and does not include the judgement of any person.

The integrity of an idea is whether or not a statement of the idea gives rise to questions not resolved within the intellectual position in which the idea is embedded. Any question not able to be answered as simply as the question is put is to be mistrusted, preferably avoided.

Dismissal of very poor, unreasoned ideas enabled by peer review and supported by academe.

There are multiple genders.

How are the physical mechanisms of DNA determining male and female overridden by mind? The only solution to the body-mind problem is the spiritual model of humanity, defining mind and defining its relationship to the body, such foundation science of people dismisses the notion of gender being a choice as intellectually corrupt nonsense.

The issue is equity not equality.

In all things there is (1) a start position, (2) a process, and (3) an end result. Can both (1) and (2) be treated equally as determinants of the end result (3)? If so, then the critical issue is equality of opportunity, with the end result determined by (2).

The idea of equity is rejected.

It follows, if two people begin in the same place, with same opportunity and potential, and then sometime later one is ‘ahead’, whatever that means, then the person fallen behind has only themselves to blame.

If any group have higher incidence of diabetes 2, or whatever, have equal access to medical services, and make no effort to deal with it, and their leadership merely whine they ‘deserve’ more money, attention, etc, and fail to guide the people to make use of the services available, then such people have no-one to blame but themselves. And the higher incidence arguably not due DNA, but due failure of personal living habits, diet, and failure to make use of medical service available. The government in a diverse society cannot pander to any cultural group much beyond language. Therefore if any group fail to take advantage of services offered by government to improve their life experience, then responsibility rests totally on them

Dismissal of extravagant claims on climate change

The climate is changing, we must limit CO2 since it is the driver of climate change. Questions: A majority of scientists support the idea of CO2 as driver of change. a small minority do not. Scientific accuracy is not determined by popularity, for example Copernicus, and Einstein photoelectric effect, both initially rejected, both proved correct. There is no causal link exhibited between changes in CO2 and temperature over the last 200 years, if it was as claimed, such a link would be evident. Caution needed.

Spiritual model of humanity: The fundamental nature of humanity is to create and adopt ideas in management of self and all circumstances, with the intensity of application derived from emotions associated with the ideas. The combination of ideas and effort in implementation chart the person’s journey through life and determine the experience of that journey.

Question to be determined: Is the spiritual model of humanity the correct science of people?

Proposal: That the APA host a global zoom (or similar) conference, several sessions over several weeks, to answer the question.

The fundamental question of attitude: The scientific question … Is the spiritual model of humanity the correct science of people? ... is important, but rests on a more important question.

Do we believe adopting and applying the best ideas offers the greatest chance of greatest success? Yes/No.

The rational answer must be … Yes: All human progress begins with better ideas. I summarize this attitude as better ideas enables better technology, accepted as the way of implementing the better ideas, which in turn produces better results. Better understanding → better technology → better results.

There are several immediate consequences, offered as fundamental question of attitude.



Do those on this distribution list:

  1. Believe better ideas offers the opportunity for better results? Yes/No.

  2. Accept there is no secure intellectual foundation to any aspect of global social science, including psychology, psychiatry, social development, jurisprudence, ideology, politics, and human capital management; and development of such a foundation would be a significant movement forward in human understanding of humanity, offer better technology for managing all human affairs, and hence offer improved life experience of all people? Yes/No.

  3. Accept the distribution list is a cross section of elite vested interests in humanity’s understanding of itself. If there is any set of ideas with valid claim to offering better management of all human affairs, hence offering better life experience for people, then this group of elite vested interests has an inherent fiduciary duty to people, via its corporate social responsibility policy (CSR Policy) to pause, review and offer an informed decision on the validity of the ideas according to the standards demanded by the ideas? Yes/No.

Global leadership. If this group is unwilling to take intellectual advance of human understanding of itself seriously and invest effort to assess the question of aptness and accuracy. then who does the group expect is going to?

Conclusion: Yes: I/we will support APA in hosting a global conference to decide the question. If agreed, then we will support the process of the paradigm change from no intellectual foundation to any human understanding of humanity, to adopting the spiritual model of humanity as the intellectual foundation underlying all human characteristics and outputs.

Why bother? There has never been a sound, secure intellectual foundation to any aspect of understanding people. There has never been a valid answer to the question … what is the correct science of people?

The spiritual model of humanity is judged a significantly improved set of ideas over all current and historic views on the characteristics and outputs of the system ‘person in their environment’. Therefore, having people adopt and implement the spiritual model of humanity, in managing their personal and all social circumstances, will improve their life experience.

Benefits from implementing the spiritual model of humanity: (This list is not exhaustive, more details discussed in the book.) These actions are derived from the spiritual model of humanity and represent the application of science in the management of our personal, social and organizational affairs. These actions are derived from a reasoned base.

Opinions do not matter, Ideas judged on the quality of reasoning from a secure start-point. Hence those who will oppose implementing this science do so in unreasonable self-service and can be classified as such. Should such people be held in high regard, then society will be diminished by that extent and will be as is deserved. We adopt and apply the best ideas, or we do not.

Deepened understanding: Improved understanding of humanity, enabling peace we are on the correct path to a better future for our descendants.

Clear definition of mental health. Full answer to the body-mind problem and the reflexive criteria, Definition of terms paradigm and normal science showing how they apply to modern understanding of what it means to be human. Definition of science, and clarity of relationship of intellect with perception. Clarity and transparency of method to build the theory able to be fully derived from the theory. Reduction in mysticism and conflicts of which mysticism is the true mysticism.

Fundamental modus operandi of reasoned attitude … Better ideas → better technology → better results.

Better self-management: Improved understanding of self, enabling improved self-management, improved mental health, and improved life-experience.

Revision of personal psychological priorities. Foundation for moral choices. Clarity of personal locus of control. Clarity of definition of mental illness as mal function of the brain. Clarity of definition that most psychological dysfunction rises from mind and the only the person has access to mind. Scientifically defined process for guiding people seeking personal change.

Better social management: Deepened understanding of how to build a diverse, free, fair, just society of peaceful co-existence.

Clarity of our social choice. Clarity of understanding of term diversity and what it means socially and psychologically. Clarity of foundation social ethics. Clear guidelines of what constitutes effective politics in a free society. Precise definitions of role of media and academe to protect fractionation of a free society. Guidelines on how to protect a free society using legislation. Reduced social expense on building better mental health. More apt and more clearly defined mental health policy. Deepened understanding of how to build a more diverse, fairer, more just, free, society of peaceful co-existence.

Better wealth creation and distribution: Building and sharing social wealth enabling each generation to be more secure of their economic future.

Deepened understanding of work-life balance and role of work in personal life and in society. Improved integration of work, and increased work-life fulfilment. More effective HCM practice serving the organization and people.

20.Proof of dualism

Ashby tools enable the following scientific statement: Brain → choices → ideas → outcomes.

This statement says the state of the brain has an influence on our choices which have an influence on the ideas we adopt and apply which has an influence on the outcomes we achieve. To deny dualism requires this statement be rejected, I am working toward full acceptance of dualism as the correct understanding of humanity.

Ashby tools DO NOT distinguish variables by the ontology of the variable. It is the problem of science to work out how variables such as brain-choice, linked as ultimate empirical effects are operationally linked such one transmutes to the other via the underlying immediate effects, with any constant in any equation reflective of the mechanism whereby one variable transmutes to the other.

This is the first and only known proof of dualism.

21.Dualism means people do not need change we merely need adopt better ideas.

Our physical evolution may be continuing but we have only been here a couple of hundred thousand years, whereas to create us took some 3-4 million years. Dualism, mind, and body separate, means we are defined by the ideas we adopt and apply. Our brain influences our choices which shapes our ideas adopted and applied which determines the outcomes we experience. We are not determined by our brain, but by the ideas we feed into it. Evolution did not define us, merely evolved the capacity to define ourselves.

Brain → choices → ideas → outcomes. Above all ... learn at each generation.
